Wipermotor 12 Volt for GLAS 1700 GT

I did like to change my 1700 GT from 6 Volt to 12 Volt and I am looking to a wipermotor 12 Volt.

Has anyone tried this conversion for 6v to 12v wiper motor? http://www.csp-shop.com electric / wiper conversion

It is made for pre-1967 VW T2. The old T2 has a 1 speed 6v wiper motor. This conversion also allows you to set the speed of the wiper. I would like to know if it works with a 2 speed wiper as fitted to Glas 1700GT?
It is much cheaper than converting my 6v wiper motor to 12v - local electrical specialist says £240!!!!
